About Rathbones Asset Management
Rathbones Asset Management is the investment management arm of Rathbones Group, one of the United Kingdom’s longest-established investment houses, with roots dating back to 1742. From its London base it runs an active, high-conviction approach built on a culture of empowerment, independent thinking and institutional discipline, with a clear objective: to generate alpha consistently over time.
The firm manages and administers around £15.7bn across some 25 funds spanning equities, fixed income, multi-asset and sustainable strategies, six of which carry SDR sustainability labels (figures as at 31 March 2026). Led by chief executive Tom Carroll, Rathbones combines the resources of a large, diversified group with the accountability of dedicated, long-tenured fund-management teams.
Its flagship equity strategy, Rathbone Global Opportunities, has just marked its 25th anniversary under manager James Thomson, having outperformed the IA Global sector average since launch. South Hub introduces Rathbones’ UCITS equity strategies to institutional and professional investors across Iberia within the regulatory framework of the CNMV in Spain and the CMVM in Portugal.
