South Hub represents A.GAIN before professional investors in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
About A.GAIN
A.GAIN describes itself as a capital creation company, built around the conviction that capital works best when it is fully committed: “capital is created through connection and commitment”, and “the relationship is the bond where long-term value is created”. It is part of IDC Network, a long-established diversified multi-fund platform, and commits capital across technology, credit, fund of funds and sports & entertainment. Its stated approach is to be “absolutely invested”: its people commit personal capital alongside limited partners and founders, engaging deeply on the decisions that define long-term outcomes.
The team works across Denmark, Spain, the United States (Miami and New York), England and Argentina, investing across the United States, Latin America and Europe. Its fund-of-funds line, VC4, is presented as a gateway to institutional-grade venture access across the US, Europe and Latin America, from pre-seed through growth stage. South Hub introduces A.GAIN’s venture capital fund-of-funds strategy to institutional and professional investors across Iberia within the regulatory framework of the CNMV in Spain and the CMVM in Portugal.

Why we represent this fund
Skin in the game above market standard. A GP commitment of a minimum of around 10% of the fund. Data indicates a notable correlation between GP commitment and fund returns.
Access to first-quartile funds. The manager is a partner of more than 100 funds in the VC ecosystem, with direct access to top funds through board seats; continued investment in top-quartile-performing funds, leveraging the fund-of-funds network.
Engaging the right emerging managers to provide alpha. Around 25% of the portfolio will target emerging managers that can provide a large alpha to investors, focusing on managers with a strong track record.
Diversification through regions, stages and sectors. A target allocation across North America, Europe and Israel, and Latin America, from pre-seed to growth, across AI, ESG-tech, fintech, healthtech, industry tech, marketplaces and software. An in-house insights tool measures diversification by region, stage and sector and identifies any potential overexposure to a company; a fund may be rejected if it does not add diversification to the portfolio.
Liquidity through secondaries. The objective is to invest up to 20% of the portfolio in secondaries. Secondary transactions are usually made at a discounted price to the initial purchase price.
Principal risks
Loss of the entire investment. An investment in the fund involves significant risks, including, among others, the loss of the entire investment.
Illiquidity and transfer restrictions. Interests in the fund are illiquid, as there is no public market for such interests and no such market is expected to develop in the future. The interests are subject to restrictions on transferability.
Target returns are not guaranteed. There is no guarantee that the target returns and projections will be realised or achieved. Past performance is not a guide to the future and investors may not get back the amount originally subscribed.
Marketing communication. Addressed exclusively to professional investors and eligible counterparties as defined in Directive 2014/65/EU (MiFID II); it is not intended for retail clients. This is not an offer, solicitation or recommendation, and no subscription documentation is made available through this website. Private market investments are illiquid and speculative: there is no right of redemption, capital is committed and drawn down over time, valuations are infrequent estimates, and investors may lose the entire amount invested. Returns are typically negative in the early years of a fund’s life. Information about prior vehicles, seed assets or the track record of individuals is not indicative of the results of this fund. Fees, including any additional layer of fees in fund-of-funds structures, reduce net returns. Full terms, risk factors, fees and conflicts of interest are set out in the fund’s legal documentation, which must be read before any investment decision. Marketing of this fund in Spain is subject to the applicable registration and notification requirements and availability may be restricted. Any reference to an investor, anchor investor or public institution does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee. Sustainability-related information is set out in the fund’s SFDR pre-contractual disclosures; an SFDR article classification is a disclosure regime, not a quality rating or a label. Tax treatment depends on each investor’s individual circumstances; this is not tax advice. South Hub Investments, S.L. is a tied agent of Ursus-3 Capital, A.V., S.A. (CNMV reg. no. 251), acting in its name and under its responsibility; no investment advice or discretionary portfolio management services are provided.
